Measuring Guide

Choose your installation method, then record your exact measurements in inches or centimetres.

Inside Mount Measurements

Inside mount measurements: widths W1, W2 and W3 across the inner opening; heights H1, H2 and H3 from the inner top to the sill.
  1. Width: measure the inner opening at the top, middle and bottom. Use the smallest width.
  2. Height: measure from the inner top to the sill at the left, centre and right. Use the largest height.
  3. Enter the original opening dimensions. Do not deduct. We deduct 0.7 cm from the width only during manufacture; height stays unchanged.

Check recess depth, handles and other obstructions. If the window is uneven or readings differ substantially, contact us before ordering.

Outside Mount Measurements

Outside mount measurements: final overall headbox width with chosen left and right overlaps, and height from the planned cassette top above the frame to the desired bottom edge.
  1. Width: mark the desired left and right edges, allowing for your chosen overlap. Measure end to end for the final overall width, including the cassette.
  2. Height: choose the cassette top position above the window frame. Measure from that installation start to the desired bottom edge.
  3. Enter the final overall dimensions. We make no width or height deduction for outside mount.

Fabric can be narrower than the cassette. Confirm fabric coverage and clearance around trim, handles and the sill before ordering.

Inside Mount Installation

Fix the Brackets

Secure the brackets to the inside top surface of the window frame, following your product instructions.

Attach the Cassette

Align the cassette with the brackets and secure it according to the supplied hardware instructions.

03

Check the Fit

Check that the shade is secure and moves smoothly within the window frame.

COVERAGE BEYOND YOUR WINDOW FRAME

Outside Mount Installation

Fix the Brackets

Secure the brackets to the wall above the window frame using suitable fasteners, following your product instructions.

Attach the Cassette

Align the cassette with the brackets and secure it according to the supplied hardware instructions.

03

Check the Fit

Check that the shade is secure and moves smoothly.

Use suitable wall fasteners and follow the hardware instructions supplied with your selected shade.

FOR INSIDE AND OUTSIDE MOUNT

Install the Safety Clip

Fit the Clip

Fit the clear clip around the bottom of the chain loop.

Position and Secure

Position it on the control side with the chain taut. Mark the holes, then secure it to the frame or wall with suitable screws and anchors.

03

Test the Shade

Gently raise and lower the shade. The chain should stay taut and slide freely through the clip.

Follow the supplied hardware instructions. Keep chains out of children's reach.
